The project is located in a housing area built around the 1950's. As is typical for the building style of this time of Israel's history, the surrounding buildings do not contain public halls or balconies. Tenants' board meetings, birthday parties, construction of a common library of used books, a lectures hall and a food court are merely a few activities which could benefit from the additional space. Thus, the programmatic idea behind the project was born: a common area for leisure and gathering, for the benefit of the neighboring buildings' tenants.
